This book describes the rock-cut temples of the Early Pandyas. All the rock-cuts of the Early Pandyas are narrated in detail in this book. May of these rock-cuts are situated in remote and inaccessible areas. The author has under taken insitustudy of all the data. A detail description and architecture and plan of the rock-cuts, scheme of sculptural representation and its description are illustrated in this work. The narration is well supported by plan drawn to a scale by using CADD. More number of photographs on the rock-cuts and the sculptures are appended to the book. Apart from the rock-cuts authored by the Muttaraiyars, who ruled as feudatories, during the reign of Early Pandyas are also included in this book. This is a pioneering work on Early Pandyas Rock-cuts Temples, that gives a well documented account on all the 55 rock-cut temples of Early Pandyas in Tamilnadu.
