The emerging and increasing market opportunities for organics are conducive for the adoption of organic agriculture among small scale farmers in India. However, some studies suggest that major constraints exist for small scale farmers to reach these markets and at the same time secure a price premium, while other evidence suggests that it is possible to support farmers to access organic markets and benefit, especially in terms of increased premiums.
