The present book entitled 'Marketing System in a Backward Economy' focuses the origin and development of markets and their spatial distribution and the typology of market centres. The study reveals the hierarchy and hierarchical orders of market centres and their trade areas. The connectivity and accessibility of markets centres is also analysed.
