Schools are meant to help the student in their physical, mental and emotional development. Games and sports and other outdoor activities enhance the power of children to understand their environment better, to develop social cohesion and character. It is, therefore, necessary that games and outdoor activities are equally encouraged and funded by the concerned state and national authorities who are responsible for the development of education. In urban schools especially because of the fact of the paucity or land for games and sports, the authorities need to give more attention to this aspect. This book deals with various activities which can be introduced in the school educational programme.
