ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Har Bilas Sarda (1867–1955) was an influential Indian academic, judge, politician, and social reformer. Born in Ajmer, he introduced the landmark Child Marriage Restraint Act in 1929. Sarda served in various judicial and administrative roles, including as a Senior Judge in Jodhpur and a member of the Central Legislative Assembly. He was a prominent member of the Arya Samaj and contributed to educational reforms, notably founding a DAV school in Ajmer. His writings include books on historical figures and social issues. Sarda was honored with titles like Rai Sahib and Dewan Bahadur for his public service. |
