Management of Water Resources is prerequisites for the prosperity of the State. Punjab State is basically an agricultural State. The State is fortunate to possess very fertile lands and the people of land have tried to make the best use of the natural resources. So far there is no systematic published material available to understand the working of different problems of the State. This great deficiency was an urge to produce a book disseminating the basic fundamentals of our land.
An attempt is made in the book to put forth the fundamental information about history, geology and hydrogeology, ground water, infiltration, water logging, remote sensing pumping testing, artificial recharge and water quality in a simple language. The effort has been made to give extensive data so that those engaged with development of land and water resources can easily find the necessary information in this book. |
