Ano-rectal diseases are said to be utter distressing to the patient owing to their psycho-social implications. The ano-rectal region is having rich nerve endings and the skin is tightly fixed to the underlying fibrous septa, so even a small ailment can cause great discomfort. In our clinical practice we saw the frustrating effect of these disorders over the normal life of the patients. Moreover the condition like Fistula-in-ano is notorious for its recurrence not by chance but as a rule. The treatment of few ano-rectal conditions has been revolutionized after the invention of ksara sutra. We are providing the consultation for these disorders and the increasing number of patients confirm the supremacy of Ayurvedic treatment in ano-rectal diseases. At several meetings, seminars and public gatherings, practitioners demand a practical and comprehensive book on this subject.
