The region remain isolated for centuries, thus been preserved the typical geography, art, architecture, lifestyle and tradition. 1974, Ladakh was opened for foreigners. Tourism and related activities have been increased accordingly. State and Central Governments also started to implement various plans and projects. Jobs, created, Ladakhis got employment.
