Sufism reached Kashmir almost simultaneously with the foundation of Muslim rule in Kashmir in 1320 with the arrival of Bulbul Shah. But real and continuous sufi activities began only towards the end of the 14th century. There after Sufis of outstanding personalities began to enter Kashmir in quick succession. |
