In this treatise as attempt has been made to present a careful and exahaustive Study of the Chronicles of Ceylon(Sri Lanka) in a spirit of Scientific research. The present book is different from the previous work on chronicles of the Island. The author has discussed in three chapters the chronicles in Pali and Sinhalese. The author has tried to utilise all the available materials, which may be gathered from Ancient and modern literature on the subject. The work will remove a long-felt need of the scholars. An index in the end enhance its utility.
