The publication on Nepal-India Relations’ is the compilation of the wisdom, contemplation and knowledge from the prominent protagonists and experts of the country on the issues of Nepal-India relations. This publication aims at disseminating the information about the bilateral relations between Nepal and India and seeks to forge appropriate voices on foreign policy matters.

Fundamentally, the correct conduct of bilateral relations is inevitably needed for the independence and sovereignty as well as security of the country. No country can move ahead without forging ahead the relations with neighboring countries in a proper way. Every freedom-loving country requires the handling of bilateral relations very sensitively. The main and basic needs of the bilateral relations are to promote cordial and warm contacts with immediate neighbors. Such process would contribute to further promoting as well as enhancing good neighborliness for mutual benefits. Undoubtedly, Nepal needs to extend its friendly hands to the neighbor with the intent of good faith placed in the trustworthy friendship with neighbor. Nepal as a smaller country it is but natural expects similar treatment from the big neighbor.

With this consideration, Nepal needs to extend its neighborly relations rapidly with the political consensus achieved for the independent and free-wheeling journey of its foreign relations.
