In India, around eight hundred Dalits known by different ethnic names. They, roughly, form the 1/7 of India's total population. They are also the majority group in poverty and below poverty line. The brahmanical literature degraded Dalits and talked very cleverly about the pre-birth theory.
The present book looks into the more depressing conditions of the Dalits in India. It also looks briefly into the emergence of varna and caste system in India and how it has over a period of centuries categorized people with specified occupation.
