The present book is an attempt to investigate the political ideas in the novel of Eric Arthur Blair popularly known as George Orwell.
He wrote his master piece 1984 at the age of 46. The year 1984 is a symbol. It is a newly coined word pregnant with meaning and synonymous with opaonlypse. The terror of Orwell's 1984 has been partly dispelled but there is increasing danger from the unprecedented technological advancement along with the growing network of heartless bureaucratic machinery. He has pictured a hypnotically disolute world in the novel.
George Orwell lived in a violent age, war, fascism, concentration camp etc. At any cost individual has to be saved with purpose in mind Orwell conducted his literary activity.
