The volume has been weaved into fifteen chapters having deep bearing on constitutional Acts covering the East India Company’s era as well as the post – 1857 period. All the events of the period have been given space to the significant developments which moulded the events of history. In fact the commencement has been made from the Regulating Act touching the Constitution of 1949.
The volume is indeed a significant contribution to the period, pre – 1857 and India under the crown. The Acts of 1919 and 1935 have been mentioned in a comprehensive way and they give us a vivid picture of the developments of this complex era.
