The present study ‘Multimedia in Education’ pleads that multimedia can help teachers and learners with its range of technologies though in the present day school education, the primary source of imparting knowledge remain the text book. Existing System poses numerous limitations, particularly in the context of history, geography on the other subject which come under the ambit of humanities. Such subjects would be better taught supported by video and had education tours combined with visits to places or archaeological or historical visits. But the truth remains that such privileges can only be afforded by schools having ample financial resources.
