DESCRIPTION

This book Participatory Experiment in Holistic Rapid Development focuses on rapid success achieved for social development in Andhra Pradesh, India. Formerly this state was backward in Female literacy, Health status-IMR and MMR very high-and infrastructural facilities. However after Mr. Chandrababu Naidu assumed office of the Chief Ministership during the last five years, all round development has taken place in this state. He adopted massive Community Mobilisation Strategy (Janmabhoomi) at regular intervals of four months, focusing on all the development programmes.

The most spectacular success achieved, so far, are: massive empowerment of Poor and illiterate women, rapid Adoption of Family planning leading to steep decline in growth Rate of Population and removal of bureaucratic Red tapism. These three epoch - making achievements and several other welfare programmes are really world famous now. The self help group called DWCRA revolutionised. Women's status and importance. The Chief Minister's e-governance using information Technology speeded up the tempo of the Progress of all these programmes. This book, therefore, is a wonderful guide to one and all particularly to those, who are associated with social development, health, education, family planning, Rural development and management in general for better quality of life of all people.
